| Dr. Onur Demirörs |  |

|
Onur Demirors is an associate professor
and the chair of the Software Management Programme of
Information Systems Department at Middle East Technical
University. He is also the strategy director of Bilgi Grubu
Ltd. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Southern
Methodist University.
His research focuses on software process improvement, software project management, software measurement, software engineering education, software engineering standards, and organizational change management. He managed research projects on developing software process improvement and modeling techniques for SMEs and for establishing and implementing business process modeling approaches for large scale software intensive system specification/acquisition. His work on software measurement particularly focuses on development of new functional size measurement methods and effort estimation techniques as well as establishing benchmarking datasets and validating current methods with field experiments. He worked as a consultant for a number of software developing companies to improve their processes based on ISO 9001, ISO 15504, CMM and CMMi. He studies business process management for software organizations from measurement and modeling perspectives as well as process mining techniques.
Onur Demirörs's previous work included development of simulation conceptual modeling frameworks (2006-2008), generic software process modeling libraries (2002-2004), identifying requirements of software engineering education and establishment of undergraduate and graduate software engineering programs(2001-2005), automated software requirements generation tools and techniques (2001-2003), development of software validation and verification tools (2000-2004), development of software measurement tools (2000-2003), learning organizations, teamwork and peopleware (1994-2003) and development of personal software process improvement (PSP) methods and tools (1997-2002), system and software requirements specification techniques(1990-1995), magic squares (1991-1992), development of expert systems (1987-1990).He is currently working for Middle East Technical University. Dr. Oktay Türetken |

| Oktay Turetken is a researcher and
consultant in Bilgi Grubu Software Research, Training and
Consultancy Ltd. and a part-time instructor in Middle East
Technical University, Informatics Institute, Software
Management Programme. He has a Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in
Information Systems and B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering,
Middle East Technical University. He worked in number of
projects on ERP (enterprise resource planning) system
implementation, business process modeling, large scale software
intensive system specification & acquisition, and software
engineering research projects for the last 10 years. His
research interests include; software process improvement,
business process modeling, software measurement and estimation,

| Dr. N. Alpay Karagöz |  |

| N. Alpay Karagöz is a partner of Bilgi
Grubu Ltd. and he has been working as a researcher, consultant
and trainer in Bilgi Grubu Software Research, Training and
Consultancy Ltd. since 2001. He is also a part-time instructor
in the Middle East Technical University, Informatics Institute,
Software Management Programme. He is currently a Ph.D. student
in Information Systems. He holds an M.S. degree in the
Information Systems and B.S. degree in the Department of
Computer Engineering, Middle East Technical University. He took
part in more than 10 projects as a software process improvement
consultant. He offers “Object Oriented Software
Development” and “Personal Software Process”
courses in the Software Management Programme. He worked in
various research projects including; developing a tool for
assisting individual software process improvement initiatives,
developing a process improvement asset library based on CMMISM,
developing a tool that supports the conceptual modeling
activities, extending the conceptual modeling tool to support
modeling in any domain by utilizing a metamodel based approach.
His research interests include; process improvement, business
process modeling, conceptual modeling, software quality

| Ali Yıldız works as a
consultant at Bilgi Grubu Software Research, Training and
Consultancy Ltd. He works as a consultant on software process
improvement. He holds a MSc degree from the Computer
Engineering Department of the Dokuz Eylul University. He worked
as research assistant in Dokuz Eylul University, Computer
Engineering Department. He worked in number of projects on
software process assessment, software process improvement and
conceptual model development. His work focuses on software
process improvement, software process assessment and software
